Christmas Shop

This event has been an overwhelming success in the past, and the atmosphere in the Shop is magical – watching the students carefully select gifts for their family and friends (furry ones too)  is the perfect way to get into the Christmas Spirit!

A donation to Kerr Street Ministries will be made on behalf of our Christmas Shop.

The shop will be open all day on Friday, December 10, 2021 and each class will be given an opportunity to visit the shop and purchase gifts, with items ranging in price between $2.00-$8.00.   While all students will have the opportunity to visit the Shop, only students who have prepaid will be able to purchase gifts.

How does this work?

  • Print and fill out the online order form: Christmas Shop Order Form indicating who your child would like to purchase gifts for (hard copies will also be sent home if you have issues printing out the form)
  • Assign a dollar value to each gift (this is only a guideline – students may spend more or less, but this will help volunteers direct your child to price appropriate gifts)
  • Fill in a separate form for EACH CHILD in your family
  • Send in your payment through school cash online (PREFERRED) or cash/cheque payable to St. Vincent School
  • Volunteers will ensure that a gift is selected for each name on the list
  • If there is any money left after a student has purchased all of their gifts the left over money will be donated to Kerr Street Ministries – NO CHANGE WILL BE GIVEN
  • All gifts will be wrapped so they are ready to go under your Christmas tree. Please take a moment today to fill in the form and return it to the school PROMPTLY – we are under a tight deadline and would appreciate your help in getting this program running quickly and efficiently!
  • We are also looking for donations of CHRISTMAS BAGS, tissue paper, ribbon and invisible wrapping tape – if you would like to donate please drop off your donations to the School office

LASTLY – this is a HUGE undertaking by the committee – if you can volunteer your time after school on December 9th (set up) or during the Christmas Shop on December 10th- please contact Carolyn Holmes at DUE TO COVID 19 RESTRICTIONS we can only accommodate 10 volunteers.  If we receive more than 10 names, “elves” names will be drawn and you will be informed if you can volunteer.

**Please note, volunteers MUST have completed the Volunteer Declaration Offence Form and have a Criminal Reference Check / Vulnerable Sector Screening filed in the school since September 2019. More information (including the declaration form) on volunteering in schools can be found on our website here.
