Hallowe’en Dance-a-Thon Fundraiser – Oct. 29th

Our Dance-a-Thon is taking place this Friday and we are so excited for its return! Students will have the opportunity to dance to raise funds for our school, and we will have our safety protocols of mask-wearing and social distancing in place. This is our one-time fundraiser that will go to help support our student and school needs. More information is found on our website here on how to donate and the items we are looking to fundraise for. Thank you in advance for your support and generosity!

Hallowe’en Costumes:

Students are welcome to wear costumes on October 29th. Please note, students must still wear their masks. Costume masks are not a replacement for the protective masks worn at school.

Costume considerations to be safe at school:

Costumes must not:

  • Impair vision;
  • Present a trip hazard to the wearer or the bystander;
  • Represent disfiguring injury (too violent or graphic)
  • Promote themes or activities inappropriate for a Catholic elementary school;
  • Make fun (i.e. use of stereotypes) of a group of people, culture or religion
  • Be too revealing or suggestive;
  • Include weapons or replica weapons;
  • Require staff to apply or remove costume pieces and/or make-up;

Costumes must:

  • Allow the student easy, independent access to the washroom. This is especially important for students from FDK to grade 2.
  • Allow the student to wear sufficiently warm clothing over or under the costume as weather/temperature dictates for outdoor recess.

Hallowe’en Candy and Treats:

A reminder that we encourage our students to celebrate the spirit and fun of Halloween, however we cannot accept any food or candy items at schoolThank you for your understanding.

Planning to Travel?

If you are planning to travel with your family, please be sure to let our office know. We have a form for you to complete for your child’s Ontario Student Record for Attendance purposes.

Please note that currently, the Ontario School Screening Tool requires that any unvaccinated student who travels outside of Canada must isolate for 14 days upon their return. This will include weekend trips across the border to the U.S.

Milk Program

We will be starting our milk program beginning on Monday, November 8th. Students will have a choice of white or chocolate milk 5 days a week. More information is available through School Cash Online if you are interested in ordering. Orders are due by November 2nd.
