Thanksgiving Food Drive

Thank you to all our families for donating items for our food drive. Donations were delivered to Kerr Street Ministries and they were very appreciative of the support to help families in need. Thank you to our Peace Ambassadors for organizing and taking on this initiative!

Thanksgiving Liturgy – Oct. 7th

On Thursday, October 7th, we had a special Thanksgiving Liturgy with our students. Thank you to all our parents who joined us!

Even though we are living during a pandemic, as Canadians and as Catholics we have so much to be thankful for. We are especially grateful for our Health Care System and our Education System, and for our faith and the many blessings bestowed upon us.

This Thanksgiving, please follow the guidelines of our Public Health Units. We must all continue to do our part to ensure the safety of everyone.

Thanksgiving Day – Oct. 11th

We would like to remind our parents that Monday, October 11th, is the Thanksgiving Holiday. We wish all our families a blessed Thanksgiving!

Fire Drill – Oct 14th

We will be having our final Fire Drill (until the Spring) on Thursday, October 14th. In keeping with the public health protocols, the Fire Marshall has sent school boards the protocol for conducting drills during COVID-19. Each class/cohort will perform the drill separately to ensure physical distancing is maintained according to public health guidelines. A one-time alarm will ring and then each class will be prompted to conduct the drill through the PA system. If there is an actual fire alarm outside of our drills, all students would evacuate according to our fire plan.

Hallowe’en Dance-a-Thon Fundraiser – Oct. 29th

We are happy to announce that our Dance-a-Thon is back this year for our annual fundraiser! There will be some changes due to the public health safety guidelines. We will not be able to have any parent volunteers present for the Dance-a-Thon (nor to help set-up) in order to ensure everyone’s safety. Students will have the opportunity to dance to raise funds for our school, and we will have our safety protocols of mask-wearing and social distancing in place. This is our one-time fundraiser that will go to help support our student and school needs. More information was emailed to parents this week on how to donate and the items we are looking to fundraise for. Thank you in advance for your support and generosity!
