Requested Items for Pick-Up

Thank you to the families that completed the MS Form to pick-up student items left in classrooms and/or desks. All requested items have been gathered are awaiting pick up. All families who requested a pick-up are welcome to come to the school on Monday June 21, 2021 from 9am-3pm to retrieve the bag of items from the main office. If you did not request a pick-up and now want to retrieve the items, please reach out to your classroom teacher to arrange for the items to be available at the curbside drop-off on Monday June 28, 2021. 

Drop-Off of Technology/School Items/Farewell Shout out to Teachers

The return of technology/school items will take place through a curbside drop-off on Monday June 28, 2021. School items to be returned include technology, classroom materials, and library books. Please ensure items being returned are labelled with your child’s name. Technology returns must include the device and charger (headsets if applicable). Teachers will be available to receive these items as per the schedule communicated through school messenger. Families who wish to wave goodbye/give a farewell shout-out to their teacher are invited to do so within the teacher’s curbside schedule. Gathering is not permitted, this is a drive-thru only.

For the safety of all staff and families, please ensure any family members attending the curbside drop-off complete an Ontario COVID-19 School Screening and are wearing a mask. 

St. Timothy Virtual Trivia Night

Thank you to all our St. Timothy families that came to celebrate our Virtual Disney Trivia Night. The event was very well attended with close to 50 families joining in on the fun. A big thank you to all the staff that supported the organization of this community event and to Nat’s Yummies for providing cookie decorating boxes to our top winning families. Nat’s Yummies can be found on Instagram @Natsyummies.

Little Caesars Fundraiser

Is pizza one of your favourite foods to eat? How about delicious crazy bread? If so, please consider joining the St. Timothy’s Catholic School Council’s end of the school year fundraiser. 15 % of all orders placed with Little Caesars, at 1801 Walkers Line, will go directly back to the school. This includes pizza, crazy bread and much more! All ordering information can be found in the document below. This fundraiser ends this Sunday June 20, 2021.

The Catholic Parent Involvement Committee Speaker Series

The Catholic Parent Involvement Committee (CPIC) at HCDSB is pleased to be hosting a speaker series throughout the month of June. If you are interested in attending, please complete the registration form HERE. Parents will receive an invite to the session, which will take place on Microsoft Teams, closer to the presentation date. If you cannot attend this virtual session on the scheduled time and day, a link to the recorded presentation will be available on HCDSB’s website and YouTube channel for later viewing.

Parenting: Navigating Everything ~ Monday, June 21, 2021

Join us for next week’s virtual session with Brett Ullman on Monday, June 21st at 7:00 PM. The presentation will discuss parenting from a Christian perspective, and will cover different parenting styles, communication, time and discipline.

Room for All: A Catholic Approach to 2SLGBTQI+ Supports with Michael Way Skinner

Parents are able to access a Room for All, a pre-recorded 5-part video series with Michael Way Skinner on the HCDSB YouTube channel.

The video series will discuss 2SLGBTQI+ supports from a Catholic approach.

International and Indigenous Languages Program

HCDSB’s Thomas Merton Centre for Adult and Continuing Education is pleased to announce that they are currently accepting student registrations for International and Indigenous Languages Elementary (IILE) program for both the Summer and Fall programs! 

About the International & Indigenous Languages Elementary Program

The International and Indigenous Languages Elementary Program creates new and exciting opportunities for our students to learn and engage with language and culture through diverse programming. Students will be given opportunities to develop and maintain their ability to engage with a familiar language from home or a new one entirely. As our students explore various language activities and learning tasks, they will be immersed in the heritage and culture of that language through the discovery of new traditions, foods, clothing, and art.

Program Details

  • Students must be in Kindergarten – Grade 8 to register for IILE program.
  • Students will not need previous knowledge of the language to enter the program.
  • The program is free of charge, and is available to all HCDSB and non-HCDSB students.
  • Registration is offered online only.

NOTE: Parents that have registered their child for a summer program will receive a confirmation by email with their child’s email address, password and instructions to access the virtual Google classroom closer to the program start date.
