Nominations are now open for the 2021-22 STC School Council and you are invited to be part of this year’s council.
Our school council, comprised of parents just like you, are motivated to do all we can to make this a wonderful school year for our students. It is through the School Council that we were able to run successful programs/events such as Liturgical Celebrations, Christmas Star of Hope, MT Cares, FundScrip, Fresh From the Farm, Poinsettia’s, Guest Speakers, Dave & Buster’s Family Night, Pancake Breakfast, Landscaping Clean-Ups, School Decorating, the Year-End HOOPLA and many, many more. This year will be different and we are asking our parents to help us with their creativity and suggestions as we navigate the year school amid lessening restrictions.
What is involved:
· Attending approximately 5-7 meetings throughout the year (currently held virtually)
· Assisting with events/initiatives/fundraising
We understand that our parents all have busy schedules. Our council is flexible and accommodating as a little help goes a long way.
We would like to announce that nominations are now open for the following HCDSB mandated positions on council:
You can nominate yourself for council. Member-at-large positions are also available to assist with council-led initiatives and events. Please email the attached Nomination Form by 4:00pm on Thursday, September 23rd, 2021 to the school principal, Mrs. Claire Lanois at LanoisC@hcdsb.org
If you do not want to be a member of the school council but would still like to be a parent volunteer, our volunteer information will be presented during Curriculum Night, Wednesday, September 22nd, 2021 and can also be found on the school website via the School Council link. Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend any of our meetings throughout the year. All meetings will be posted on the school website.
If you have any questions regarding council, please do not hesitate to contact the STC School Council at email@example.com or the school directly.
