CATHOLIC SCHOOL COUNCIL PRIMARY MOVIE NIGHT – CHANGE OF DATE

For those parents who purchased tickets and snacks for our upcoming Primary Family Movie Night, please note that this Movie Night will have to be postponed until the following Thursday due to the OECTA one-day full withdrawal of services scheduled for Thursday, March 5th.   THE NEW DATE FOR OUR MOVIE NIGHT WILL BE THURSDAY, MARCH 12TH.   The start time has not been altered and the movie is set to begin at 6:15pm (Doors open at 6:00pm).

If you previously purchased tickets to attend this night on March 5th and are not able to make it to the new Movie Night date of March 12th, please contact Mrs. Ceko at the office to discuss a refund for your purchase.

PROMOTING WELL BEING: Emotional Well Being and Mental Health

There is no health without mental health. Mental health is the ability to think, feel and act in ways that help us to:

  • Cope with life’s ups and downs
  • Make good decisions
  • Have meaningful relationships

Mental health shows in how you think, feel and act in life. It affects how you see the world, handle challenges, relate to others and make choices.  Current research shows that 1 in 5 children will suffer from poor mental health. For most, these problems will be brief. Experiences with stress, sadness or low self-esteem are a part of growing up. However, when it begins to interfere with school, family or everyday living, it is time to ask for help.  Early intervention is key. Children and youth need to be taught coping skills and need to know they are not alone.
