Greetings to you! I hope you are doing well during this moment of difficult times. Know that Fr. Roshan and myself are praying for you and offering masses for you and for your family. I know that it is hard for all of you to be away from receiving Holy Communion and having the fellowship of the parishioners.
Even though we walk in trails and tribulations, I would encourage all of you to keep up the spirit and faith in ways that are available and possible.
Here I would like to suggest some of the things that are available.
First and foremost, the eucharist; Even though we are not able to participate in the feast of the Eucharist (the body and blood) we do believe in being fed by the word of the Lord. In this effect, there are some resources that are readily available. You can watch the daily TV mass online, on youtube, or over the Television (Salt and Light, Vision TV).
Secondly, we have purchased the online program for our parish: Formed. If you did not have an opportunity to sign up so far, this is a good time. There are so many movies, catechesis documents, audiobooks, literature, etc. Formed · The Catholic Faith. On demand.
Formed · The Catholic Faith. On demand.
Thirdly, the season of Lent invites us to grow and deepen our relationship with God and with one another. Even though we are not able to pray with the extended family (the Church) we can pray with the Domestic Church (the family). Use modern technology to talk or facetime with the other. Make a list to call some of your friends and family. Let us pray for doctors, nurses, hospital staff, and first responders during this difficult time.
We are in this together, let us pray for one another. Even though we don’t understand what is going on, God is with us. Let us recollect the story of the disciples walking to Emmaus, God walks with us.
For any new updates please continue to have a look at our website as well the website of the diocese.
Prayers and Blessings
