The St. Raphael School community, in partnership with the St. Vincent de Paul Society collected over 300 boxes of Jello, which will be sent to the Whale Cove community in Nunavut.
Located along the shores of the Hudson Bay, this remote town knows firsthand the challenges with having access to readily available materials and food resources. Every year through missionary work, the St. Vincent de Paul society works to support 25 families in this town.
Generosity and caring for one’s neighbour are not unknown to the St. Raphael community. Last year, the school collected hundreds of boxes of Kraft Dinner which were delivered to the Whale Cove community in September. This year, one of the items on their wish list was Jello. Students were encouraged to donate if they could. In the end, we collected 360 boxes, which will go towards helping those 25 families for a year!
Way to go, St. Raphael!
