Safe Arrival

Reporting an absence

Whether it’s an illness, a medical appointment or other important event, there are times when students may need to be away from school.

Beginning November 5, 2018, the Halton Catholic District School Board will be introducing a new, more convenient method for parents to report their child(ren)’s absences.

Before you begin: Please note, you must use the email address and/or phone number associated with St. Peter school to sign up.

Using the Safe Arrival system, parents will be able to report daily absences, and even schedule absences in one of three ways: the SchoolMessenger mobile app, SchoolMessenger website: go.schoolmessenger.ca, and by calling toll-free at: 1-844-445-4505.

Arrival of Grade 1-8 students

Supervision of the school playground begins at 8:50 a.m.  Bus students disembark at the front of the school and walk along the sidewalk to the playground area.  Students who walk or are dropped off will also walk along the sidewalk to the playground area.

If it is raining, the students enter the school and go directly to the gym where supervision will be provided.

Arrival of Kindergarten students

Kindergarten students will gather in the Kindergarten yard upon their arrival, beginning at 8:50 a.m.

If it is raining, students may enter the school through their usual entry doors and go directly to their classrooms.
