CHRISTMAS CONCERT 2020
We are pleased to announce that we will be having a Christmas Concert this year! Each class will learn a Christmas song and the performances will be recorded within the classroom. All the performances will be combined to create a video that parents, students, families and teachers will be able to view through a direct, private link to YouTube.
Our concert will include body percussion, sign language, cup routines, desk drumming, boomwackers and more!
The recordings will take place the week of December 7 – 11th. If your child is absent from the day of their music class that week, they will unfortunately not be in the concert. A schedule for the week is as follows:
Dec. 7 – Mrs. Volpini, Mr. Petrucelli, Mrs. Desrochers
Dec. 8 – Mr. Jefferies, Mrs. Tilley, Mrs. Coughlan
Dec. 9 – Mrs. Murray, Mr. Cataldo, Mrs. Densmore
Dec. 10 – Mr. Stoneburgh, Mrs. Ferrraro, Mrs. Byrnes
Dec. 11 – All FDK Classes
On the day of their performance, students are asked to wear red and green. A reminder will be sent to parents the week prior.
We cannot wait to spread Christmas Cheer this year!!
PROGRESS REPORT CARDS/INTERVIEWS:
The Elementary Progress Report for grades 1 – 8 students, and the Kindergarten Communication of Learning will be issued on November 24, 2020. Parent(s)/Guardian(s) will be able to schedule an interview with your child’s teachers during the evening of Thursday, November 26, 2020 and during the day on Friday, November 27, 2020 which is a designated Professional Development Day. Interviews will last approximately 10 minutes but will be scheduled in a 15 minute block. The extra 5 minutes will account for technical issues and/or transition times between interviews. Please keep to the 10 minute time frame for the interview. If additional time is needed, please set up another date and time with the classroom teacher to continue the conversation.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, all interviews will be offered virtually or through a phone call. An email will be sent out on Monday with instructions on how to make an appointment. Please note that all families will also receive a paper copy of these instructions which contains the access code needed to book an appointment.
BULLYING AWARENESS AND PREVENTION WEEK – NOV. 15-20
This week is Bullying Prevention and Awareness Week. Ms. Giordani and our peer mentors have organized some special announcements for the staff and students this week. The St. Paul students and staff are committed to learn more about bullying prevention and awareness, and how we can make a difference. Teachers and students will participate in activities and have been given resources to support the learning.
As a school, we are continuing to promote kindness in our everyday actions.
