Weekly Update May 3 – 7

Good afternoon,

Catholic Education Week – May 3 to May 7 – Our theme this year is: Nurturing Hope.

While we won’t have the opportunity to physically be in our building, our staff continue to plan and provide rich online opportunities for our students.  Families are reminded to continue to log into their D2L platforms to access the various planned lessons to deepen their awareness and understanding of both the gift and the responsibility of Catholic education!

Virtual Book Fair – May 3rd to May 10th

Families are reminded of our Scholastic Virtual Book Fair. Please visit our school’s Virtual Book Fair site using this link: This is a great opportunity to purchase some amazing gifts, while also promoting literacy and helping our school library – last day to shop is May 10th!

September 2021

If your child(ren) will not be returning to St. Nicholas in September, please email Mrs. Kennific- and Mr. Cacciola – to let our office staff know as soon as possible. This information will be helpful to us as we begin to consider our classes for next year. We appreciate your help and support.

Class Placements 2021-2022

Preparations will soon begin to ensure our school is organized for the 2021-2022 school year. When building a class, many factors are considered in the decisions to develop heterogeneous groupings such as: balanced abilities, gender, learning styles and social blending. Parental input is very important in this process, however, requests for specific teachers cannot be considered. If you have any information regarding your child’s placement, please submit it in writing by May 7, 2021 to Mr. Cacciola. Your trust in our professional judgement is appreciated.
