Weekly Update August 24, 2019

We hope all our families are enjoying their summer break! As we prepare for the upcoming school year listed below are a few reminders to help ensure the last few weeks of August are stress free for families.

School Uniform – St. Nicholas is a uniform school. Our uniform is now available for purchase through our uniform provider ISW. As was originally communicated to our families – students can continue to wear their St. Joseph/St. James uniform for a 3-year period – we are now in year 2. New uniform purchases can be made at 505 Iroquois Shore Rd, Unit 7, Oakville, ON, L6H 2R3. We are planning a uniform exchange at our school BBQ on Thursday, September 5th. Families are encouraged to drop off any gently used uniform pieces to our main office during the week of August 26th.

Epi-Pens – Medication and Medical Perils Forms – Medical perils packages went home the last week of June with students. We ask families to return the completed forms and updated medication in a clear Ziploc bag that is clearly labeled with your child’s name to our main office during the week of August 26, 2019.

Class Placements for September 2019 – Through the Halton Catholic District School Board website, parents will be able to access their child’s class placement by using the Student OEN Number. All elementary student class placements will be come live at 9:00 am on Friday, August 30, 2019.

Student Transportation Information – Student transportation schedules will be made available as of August 19, 2019 – families are asked to please visit the Halton Student Transportation Services Website http://www. or call 1-888-803-8660.

If your child is not attending St. Nicholas in September 2019, we ask that you please inform our main office so that we can plan accordingly. We appreciate your help during this busy time.

We are currently looking for Lunch Supervisors – this is a paid position. If you are interested, please contact our main office the week of August 26th for more information.

Wishing our families an enjoyable and safe last week of summer!
