Weekly Update June 21

Good afternoon,

Congratulations to our first ever graduating Class of St. Nicholas Elementary School! We wish you all continued success at your new Secondary school in September!

Report Cards – Term II Report Cards will be sent home on Tuesday, June 25th.  Please review your child’s report card, fill out the parent comment section and return to the classroom teacher on Wednesday, June 26th.

Early Dismissal on Friday, June 28 – A reminder that our last day of instruction is Friday, June 28th. Our school day will end 90 minutes earlier. All students will be dismissed at 1:50p.m. All busses will be running on Friday.

Lost and Found – items will be on display from June 21 – June 28.  If your child is missing personal items, please encourage them to look through the items displayed.  Any items not claimed by June 28 will be donated.

Medical Conditions 2019-2020 – For families who have students with medical conditions the documentation packages for the 2019-2020 school year will be sent home on June 24th to be updated over the summer and then returned the last week of August (Aug 26-30).

Please remember that ALL medication, including epi-pens and inhalers, housed at the school for your child MUST BE picked up by June 28th.  Any unclaimed epi-pens and inhalers will be sent home in your child’s backpack on June 28th.  Any non-prescription medications (e.g., Advil) will be disposed of as per our typical practice.

Please let us know if you are moving or won’t be returning in September 2019. We are planning for next year’s class sizes and the information is very helpful for the planning process.

Finally, if you know your child will be absent please ensure that their absence is called in – this supports our Safe Arrival Program.
