Weekly Update May 31

Good day families,

ABA for ALL Bonanza – St. Nicholas school will be hosting an Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) for All Bonanza from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 5th.  This event has been planned by our school board’s ABA for All Working Group and is designed to bring awareness of what Educational ABA is. It will demonstrate how the various disciplines within education come together to utilize ABA methodology. The goal is to highlight and celebrate all of the amazing work being done across the system by educators using ABA methodology for students who benefit from it.  Parents are welcome to attend the event to learn more about how ABA is being utilized in our school.

A very big thank you to our grade 3 and 6 teachers and our support staff who worked so hard to prepare our students for EQAO. Thank you to all our families who had their students here and ready to go the past few weeks. Congratulations to our students for their commitment and efforts preparing for and writing their EQAO tests!

A special thank-you to Mrs. Raso, our parent volunteers and Catholic School Council members for preparing a wonderful first St. Nicholas Fun Fair. It was a fun filled evening and great way for us to continue to grow as a new school community. Thank you once again, to our families for all your generous donations – our class gift baskets were a huge success! Congratulations to all our winners!

Please keep our Grade 8 students and staff in your thoughts and prayers as they prepare for 3 days in Ottawa.
