Welcome to February! To keep you updated about our school during OECTA’s Job Action, here are a few quick reminders and updates as we begin this week:
TOMORROW: Tuesday, February 4th NO SCHOOL – All schools in our Board will be closed to students tomorrow (Tues. Feb. 4th) as a result of OECTA’s province-wide one-day full withdrawal of services. All Before and After School programs will also be CANCELLED. No transportation will be running for HCDSB students.
Please continue to check our School Website, the HCDSB website (www.hcdsb.org) and email communications from the HCDSB in regards to our Elementary Teacher’s (OECTA) Job Action.
As a result of the school closure on Tuesday, we had our Pizza Day today (which was the beginning of the new session) and delivered the Tuesday Milk to students today as well. Our Breakfast Program will also be cancelled tomorrow but will resume on Thursday. Reminder that our next Quiznos session begins this Thursday for those who ordered!
This Thursday, February 6th is “National Sweater Day” and a chance to reduce our temperature in the school to conserve heat energy across the Board! Thursday will still be a regular UNIFORM day, but students will be allowed to bring their non-uniform sweaters to wear on this day as we reduce the temperature in the school by 1 degree! Thanks to our ECO Team for this initiative!
Don’t forget: ISW Uniforms’ “Winter Sale” continues this week to Saturday, February 8th. For more information, please check out the notice on our website: https://elem.hcdsb.org/stmichael/2020/01/isw-winter-sale/
Courtney Abrahams from HCDSB Facilities Department will be here to lead you through a presentation on the updates and plans for the upcoming Renovations to St. Michael CES.
During these masses, students will be receiving items as part of their preparation for First Communion. Please plan to attend any mass this weekend, Saturday at 5:00pm, or Sunday at 9:00am OR 11:00am. During this weekend’s masses, candidates will receive their “Rosary.”
