I hope you all enjoyed the weekend. As we start our final week of February, here are a few important changes and updates:
PIZZA DAY: Moved to Monday, February 24th – Quick reminder that this week we moved Pizza Day to Monday due to the potential Job Action rotating strike day that was originally set for tomorrow. Next week we will be back to our regular Tuesday Pizza days. Please make sure that you send a lunch for your children tomorrow!
Pancake Tuesday Update! – As we are in school tomorrow, Tuesday, February 25th we will be serving up Pancakes to our classrooms! We have some parent volunteers coming tomorrow morning to begin cooking. Therefore, we will be CANCELLING our Breakfast Program tomorrow for students. Pancakes will be served in the classrooms as soon as they are ready, so please let your children know that they will be fed eventually!!
Ash Wednesday Liturgy – On Wednesday, February 26th our school will lead an Ash Wednesday Liturgy at the Church starting at 10:30am. Please join us as we begin this season of Lent!
Pink Shirt Day – Our school will be participating in Anti-Bullying Day on Wednesday, February 26th. Pink Shirt Day’s message this year is “lift each other up;” a simple but powerful message encouraging us to look beyond our differences and celebrate the things that make us unique. When we lift each other up, we see past the things that separate us and see instead the things that unite us as people! This will still be a UNIFORM DAY, but students are encouraged to wear a pink shirt if they have one to show their support!
Grad Photos! – Our Grade 8 Grad Photos are taking place this Thursday, February 27th!
During these masses, students will be receiving items as part of their preparation for First Communion. Please plan to attend any mass this weekend, Saturday at 5:00pm, or Sunday at 9:00am OR 11:00am. During this weekend’s masses, candidates will receive their “Rosary.”
