Programs

St. Matthew Catholic School offers an Extended French Program for students in Grades 5 through 8.  The curriculum is divided equally in French and English instruction.  Students from outside the school boundaries are welcome to apply.

FULL DAY KINDERGARTEN

Forms will be provided by the office.

YEAR 1: Children must be 4 years old on or before December 31 of the school year for which they are registering.

Children currently registered in the Year 1 program of Full Day Kindergarten do not need to register for the school’s Year 2 program. Placement will be processed by the school unless otherwise notified by the parent.

Required Documentation

The following documentation is required for registration:

  • Roman Catholic Baptismal Certificate
  • Birth Certificate
  • Health Card
  • Immunization

Before a registration is finalized, the child must have completed the prescribed program of immunization for diphtheria, tetanus, poliomyelitis, measles, mumps, and rubella.

Please note: Registrations cannot be processed until all documentation is complete.

Out-of-Boundary Requests and Transfers

Each request for a school change is to be forwarded by the parent / guardian or adult student to the appropriate school Superintendent for approval.

  • Parental / guardian / adult student support statement for the change of school must accompany each request.
  • Each request shall be judged on its own merits.
  • The school superintendent may, subject to the following conditions, approve the request and forward a written response to the parent / guardian / adult student:
    1. The receiving school has sufficient student space to support the request.
    2. Placement of all students within a school (inclusive of cross boundary students) is subject to the principal’s organization of the school.
    3. Transportation to the receiving school will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian/adult student.
    4. Permission to attend the receiving cross boundary school is subject to annual review.
