Graduation – Class of 2020!
Congratulations to our Graduation Class of 2020! We look forward to our graduation events taking place this Friday, June 19th. This graduating class has contributed in many ways over the past several years to the life of St. Matthew School. We wish all our graduates continued success as they embrace their goals and aspirations – God Bless.
Parent Access to Student Belongings:
We have now confirmed that we will have our pick-up of student belongings event on Wednesday, June 24th. Due to public health and board protocols to prevent social gatherings, we are looking at a “curbside” pick-up model, where you will have an opportunity to gather your children’s belongings. Our pick-up event will be planned by family last name, and therefore you will only need to drive to the school once. We will be sending additional information home tomorrow or Tuesday, allowing you to select a specific time to pick up your child(ren)’s materials. Please ensure you review and follow the HCDSB Parent Protocol.
Re-opening of Churches in the Diocese of Hamilton:
In a recent announcement by the Premier of Ontario, it was decided that places of worship may reopen starting this week. Please see a Letter from His Excellency, Bishop Crosby, providing details about the re-opening of churches. Please continue to visit the St. Matthew Parish website for additional updates as the parish prepares to reopen.
HDSA’s Annual Walk for Down Syndrome!
HDSA’s Annual Halton Walk for Down Syndrome is going virtual on Saturday, June 20th, 2020! We encourage families, friends and community partners to walk with your immediate family members around your home, neighbourhood or yard to help raise money and awareness for Down syndrome. If you are interested in donating/participating, please click here.
