God our Father, Your Son Jesus gave up His life to free us from the power of sin and death. He showed us that the greatest love is in giving up one’s life for others. Today and tomorrow, we remember those who fought and died for our freedom. We ask You to bless and console them together with their families. Help us to understand the sacrifices they made in leaving their loved ones to face the horrors of war. May we never forget their generosity. May Your Holy Spirit give us the courage to resist evil in all its forms and show us how to be peacemakers through prayer and action, lest we forget those who fought, suffered and died that we might have the freedom and peace we enjoy today.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
We will gather tomorrow at 10:30 for our Remembrance Day liturgy and ceremony. Students are welcome again to bring donations for the Royal Canadian Legion (small change or other) for a Poppy. You are welcome to join us if you are free.

Community Outreach – Thank You!
Thank you to those who donated last week. We collected many items that will help so many in the our community. This was another great way to help our students live their faith and take care of others. Special thank you to Maria Sousa, other parent volunteers and our student ambassadors who led and assisted with this initiative!
After School Play/Supervision:
Please note that supervision is provided after school near our main parking lot, dismissal doors and the back playground until 3:25 pm. As you know, some students remain with parents around the school yard to play. However, we are asking that you remain with your children, closely supervising them. We have noticed an increase in student injuries after school and damage to our our natural playground in the kindergarten area. With the colder weather and ice/snow around the corner, safety concerns will only increase. Thank you again for your understanding and support.
A Message from The Town of Oakville/Student Safety:
Bi-law officers have been present recently looking for parking violations and other concerns. The Town has communicated the following concerns:
- Parking in fire routes and in random locations (in front/side of our school)
- Accessible Parking spots for those with disabilities, without appropriate documentation
- Crossing the street as the crossing guard has indicated it is not safe to do so (less than 10 seconds, students should wait)
*Please also remember to talk to your daughters/sons about using all school sidewalks as they proceed to the street sidewalks and crosswalks. Again, we acknowledge and understand that parking can be a challenge. Any measure in place is for the safety of everyone. Thank you for your support.
Have a great week!
