The end of each school year typically also means we need to say goodbye to staff members who are moving on. This year is unique as we will also have a new parish priest and associate next year. We wanted to wish many people a farewell and best wishes. First, we would like thank both Father Tim and Father David for their spiritual guidance over the last two years. Wish them well as they move on to their new parishes. We would also like thank the following staff members for their many contributions at our school. So sad to see them go, but wish them all the best at their new schools and placements!
Mrs. Gojmerac, Mme. DiSabatino, Mrs. Posavec, Ms. Ganan, Mrs. McKay, Ms. Saluk and Mr. Waring.
Staff Appreciation Luncheon:
We would like to take a special moment to acknowledge our wonderful staff here at St. Matthew Catholic School. They truly are a remarkable group of individuals and professionals and we are privileged to work with them each day. Our staff go above and beyond in what they do each day and we are grateful for them! Thank you parents for donating towards our staff appreciation luncheon and for the many parents assisting tomorrow. Your generosity and support are very much appreciated.

Thank you Parents/Catholic School Council:
As we approach the final two weeks of this school year, we wanted to extend a thank you to all of our parent volunteers and members of our Catholic School Council. We thank you for your many hours helping in and around the school for a variety of activities. Your involvement makes a tremendous impact. We appreciate your partnership and support and look forward to our scheduled events for next year!
Class Placements for 2019-2020:
We will be sending information shortly to help direct you in how to find your child’s/children’s class placements for the start of next year. This is typically released the Friday before school starts and can be found through our board’s website. You will need student OEN numbers, which can be found on the report cards. We have been moving through the rigorous process over the past month to place our students. Please remember that these decisions will be final to ensure we do not alter the thorough process that has taken place.

Next week will be a non-uniform week and clothing items can be dropped off at the scheduled times. Please click here to read more about the program and for the dates/times for uniform item drop off.

If your child has additional medications at school, a parent is required to come pick it up from the office. All medication not picked up by the end of the school year will be disposed of. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Reminder about Lunches/Snacks:
A reminder as we move into the last two weeks, we have several students in our school who live with severe life threatening allergies to peanuts, nuts and other foods (anaphylaxis). Please continue to choose items carefully when sending lunches and snacks (from home and restaurants) to school, keeping in mind specific allergies in your child’s classroom.
