Weekly Update – June 10th – 14th

It was great to see so many of you at our BBQ last week! We had a great turnout and the weather was beautiful! Thank you once again to our Catholic School Council BBQ leads, Linamaria Becerra-Garcia, Juliana Berrio and other parent volunteers for organizing/helping out to run this great event.

Raptors Day:

Once again, we will invite students to wear Toronto Raptors gear (or red & black) tomorrow and on game days as they continue in this championship series. Students who choose not to participate are reminded that they must be in uniform. Hopefully it ends tomorrow with a Raptors victory!

HCDSB Track and Field Finals:

Congratulations to all participants for representing our school last week at the Oakville meet. We wish all our finalists well, as they compete at the board finals on Monday.  Thank you again to the coaches, Mrs. Goncalves and Mrs. Stollberg for their work with our team. Go Wildcats Go!

Students with Medical Conditions/Allergies:

Please be aware that medical packages for the 2019-2020 year will be sent home over the coming weeks.  Further information will be provided for submitting new packages, epi-pens and medication for next year.  All epi-pens and inhalers housed at school will be returned on the last day (June 28th).  If your child has additional medications at school, a parent is required to come pick it up from the office.  All medication not picked up by the end of the school year will be disposed of. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Reminder about Lunches/Snacks:

A reminder as we move into the last part of the year, we have several students in our school who live with severe life threatening allergies to peanuts, nuts and other foods (anaphylaxis). Please continue to choose items carefully when sending lunches and snacks (from home and restaurants) to school, keeping in mind specific allergies in your child’s classroom. Please be extra vigilant to avoid sending treats from home for the class. Thank you for your continued cooperation in ensuring the safety of all students.
