Christmas Spirit Week

Christmas Concert

A link to our virtual concert will be sent out on Thursday, December 16th.

Early Dismissal

Please be aware that school will be dismissed at 1:50 pm on Friday, December 17th. Wishing all of our St. Marguerite families a Merry Christmas and New Year filled with joy, good health and happiness.

Appropriate Attire

It is cold and windy outside on our playground! Please remember that it is that time of year when our weather changes drastically throughout the day. Layering is a great solution for our students to ensure that they have the proper wear in order to enjoy the snowy field. Don’t forget jackets, snow pants, hats, gloves and boots! Also, remember to have your indoor shoes at school to change into.

St. Marguerite Tips

Gaudete Sunday is the third Sunday of Advent in the liturgical calendar, which means Joy.  The spirit of joy that begins this week comes from the words of Paul, “The Lord is near.”

This joyful spirit is marked by the third candle of our Advent wreath, which is rose coloured, and the rose-coloured vestments often used at the Eucharist. One was to express our Joy during the season is through daily prayer, participation in Mass and the sacrament of Reconciliation, and to do something extra for those less fortunate. This Christmas spirit will come alive in our school through many activities to help our students understand this true meaning, along with invitations to our families and members of our community to join in our festivities
