June is designated as Pride Month in Canada, and throughout the month, HCDSB schools will be raising awareness around Pride Month and nurturing our call to build safe and inclusive learning environments where every student and every member of the community is welcomed, valued, and respected.
Tuesday, June 1st
Rainbow Day Pride Month at HCDSB launches with a system-wide Rainbow Day celebration today. Students and staff are encouraged to dress in their most colourful clothes as we celebrate the rainbow – a sign of God’s promise to love us and a symbol of inclusion for all in our community!
Draw with Pride on Rainbow Day! In addition to wearing the rainbow today, we invite our St. Luke families to create and share one of your own! At a time of your choosing, have some fun and “be the rainbow in someone else’s cloud” by drawing, painting, chalking or using clothes art to show that we ALL belong at St. Luke School! Share your pictures on Twitter and remember to include #HCDSBRainbowDay #HCDSBPride #WeAllBelong #HCDSBbelonging #HCDSB. We can’t wait to see your submissions!
