Students from St. Luke’s Card Making Club have been spending some of their lunch hours making Christmas cards to send to members of the Canadian Armed Forces. More than 100 colourful, handwritten Christmas Cards are on their way to Canadian soldiers, thanks to this group of thoughtful students.
In November, the Canadian Armed Forces put out a call for people to write Christmas cards to personnel who will be away from their families over the holidays. The call is part of the “Write to the Troops” program. If your family would like to send some Christmas cheer to a soldier overseas, all you have to do is address the letters to go to Belleville, Ontario, and they will be sent overseas and delivered to a very appreciative Canadian solider for Christmas. Let’s send them a ton of love!
