St. Joseph Tips
Gaudete Sunday is the third Sunday of Advent in the liturgical calendar, which means Joy. The spirit of joy that begins this week comes from the words of Paul, “The Lord is near.” This joyful spirit is marked by the third candle of our Advent wreath, which is rose-coloured, and the rose coloured vestments often used at the Eucharist. One was to express our Joy during the season is through daily prayer, participation in Mass and the sacrament of Reconciliation, and to do something extra for those less fortunate. This Christmas spirit will come alive in our school through many activities to help our students understand this true meaning, along with invitations to our families and members of our community to join in our festivities
