All Saints Day | Toronto Catholic District School Board

St. Matthew Catholic Parish News

Follow St. Matthew Catholic Church on Social Media and keep up to date with all that is happening in our parish! There are four ways to connect to the parish:

MASS REGISTRATION & ATTENDANCE

As many of our regular weekly Mass attendees are discovering, reserving space in our church on weekends is becoming increasingly competitive. Walk-in attendees and those who wait until late in the week (Friday or Saturday) are unlikely to find Masses with available space. Preference and privilege are shown to no one in this process; as it just, all available space is allocated through Eventbrite on a first-come-firstserved basis. If you’re concerned about making sure there’s room for you and your family, the best course of action is diligence! Please be reminded that as long as we are required to maintain physical distance between persons of differing households, the need to register for weekend Masses will remain resolutely in place. Thank you for your cooperation with the minor detail.

Thank you!

A very big thank you to our school community for your generous donations in making our school fundraiser a success! We raised just over $7300 which will be put toward the purchase of program materials such as technology, gym equipment, games, Kindergarten yard upgrades, and more! We loved seeing our staff and students get in the Halloween spirit for this fun day. If you have not had an opportunity to donate, it is not too late to donate. Please visit school cash online to make a donation!

Special thanks to Chiara K, Addie K, Lily G and Vanessa E from Mrs. Steer Thackray’s Grade Eight class who served as our DJs and photographers for the day and to all our families and community businesses who generously donated raffle prizes. Your generosity is so greatly appreciated. Please note that we will be sharing a short video of the day with our parent community next week.

Daily Self Screening for all students is required

All staff and students must continue to self-screen every day before attending school. Any individuals who are experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19 as identified in the screening tool, must not attend school and should follow the guidance provided in the screening tool, which may include seeking appropriate medical attention as required, and/or getting tested for COVID-19. Please note that although proof of daily screening is no longer required by parents, we ask for you continued diligence in completing the screening daily.
