Week of May 11-15

Hearing Awareness Month

May is Hearing Awareness Month which is an entire month dedicated to educating the public about the importance of hearing health.  Hearing awareness is very important and we would like to highlight this by providing an opportunity to share information and activities around the impact that a hearing loss can have on individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing as well as hearing protection and conservation.

HCDSB is dedicating this week to promote Hearing Awareness amongst our students and school community.

The week will end, on Friday May 15th, with a Dress Loud Day where we are encouraging our students to have fun and dress in their wackiest loudest clothing.  Please share your pictures in your virtual classroom via email or tweet them, if you wish, using the #Dressloud2020  @SJPIIOakville @HCDSB  @hcdsbSEAC  @VOICE4DeafKids

Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you are in need of any support.

Teacher-Led Distant Learning

We encourage parents to take some time to explore the site.

Student Award of Excellence 2020

The Student Award of Excellence is a HCDSB award that is presented annually to students across our system who demonstrates outstanding qualities in the areas of leadership, faith development, family commitment, rapport with teachers and other students, involvement in school affairs, and community activities. Although, we are not able to celebrate this achievement in person this year, we are very proud to share that Debbie S., a Grade 8 student, has been selected as our school’s recipient of this award. Congratulations Debbie!
