Week of May 11-15

Hearing Awareness Month

May is Hearing Awareness Month which is an entire month dedicated to educating the public about the importance of hearing health.  Hearing awareness is very important and we would like to highlight this by providing an opportunity to share information and activities around the impact that a hearing loss can have on individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing as well as hearing protection and conservation.

HCDSB is dedicating this week to promote Hearing Awareness amongst our students and school community.

The week will end, on Friday May 15th, with a Dress Loud Day where we are encouraging our students to have fun and dress in their wackiest loudest clothing.  Please share your pictures in your virtual classroom via email or tweet them, if you wish, using the #Dressloud2020  @SJPIIOakville @HCDSB  @hcdsbSEAC  @VOICE4DeafKids
