We are currently undergoing a School Boundary Review Process involving St. Mary and St. Joan of Arc Catholic Elementary Schools. A School Boundary Review (SBR) Committee was established to gather and share information with members of our school communities.
You can now access the Virtual Public Information Meeting (VPIM) for the Bronte Green Catholic Elementary School Boundary Review process here.
- Bronte Green (formerly Saw Whet Golf Course) is a new residential development area in the northwestern portion of the Town of Oakville. The development is currently under construction and the first units are expected to be complete at the earliest by late summer of 2021.
- Based on our current boundaries, the Bronte Green development (also known as the Glen Abbey Encore development) will fall within the St. Mary Catholic Elementary School boundary. St. Mary continues to face accommodation pressure due to high enrolment, while neighbouring St. Joan of Arc has seen declining enrolment over the last few years.
- The 2019 Long-Term Capital Plan (LTCP) identified the need to conduct a School Boundary Review to address enrolment pressures and determine a home school for the new community in Oakville.
Review the Option & Complete the Survey!
At the first School Boundary Review Committee Meeting on March 24, 2021, the committee moved to present the proposed boundary option to the community to gather feedback.
The feedback gathered will be shared with the School Boundary Review Committee at the next committee working meeting. Once the SBR Committee selects the preferred proposed boundary, it will be presented to the Board of Trustees for consideration and approval.
Thank you for your time and interest in the Bronte Green Catholic Elementary School Boundary Review. We look forward to receiving your feedback.
