Pink Shirt Day: Wednesday, February 26th, 2020
While bullying affects so many people physically, emotionally and mentally, we know there are many students, parents, schools and community members that want to know what they can do to help. We are encouraging everyone to join us in wearing pink on February 26, 2020, to show you’re taking a stand or making an effort to practice kindness and acceptance. The theme for this year’s Pink Shirt Day is “Lift each other up”; a simple but powerful message encouraging us to look beyond our differences and celebrate the things that make us unique. When we lift each other up, we see past the things that separate us and see instead the things that unite us as people. Take your kindness to new heights! This Pink Shirt Day, and every day, let’s Lift Each Other Up.
Little Jammers will begin on Wednesdays from February 26th to April 22, 2020 (No class March 18) at lunchtime for all those who have registered.
Walking the Path of Faith, Learning and Respect Together,
Mr. N. Laratta and Mrs. M. Pitt
We will be recognizing this day on Friday, March 13th with a full civvies day. We encourage students to wear brightly coloured mismatched socks in support of people with Down Syndrome and their families. As a Catholic community, we will be demonstrating our role as responsible citizens by raising funds for the Halton Down Syndrome Association. On March 13th, each class will be given a sock to collect loose change to support this endeavour. Students are encouraged to bring in whatever amount in change they can.
