Halton Hills Public Library Summer Reading Club

The TD Summer Reading Club is Canada’s biggest, bilingual summer reading program for kids of all ages, interests and abilities. This free Club is offered at more than 2,000 public libraries across Canada, as well as online. The Club celebrates Canadian authors, illustrators and stories, and inspires kids to explore the fun of reading their way. This is key to building a lifelong love of reading.  Check out the promotional video here: TD Summer Reading Club

On Saturday, June 19th the Summer Reading Club at HHPL will begin registration with The Summer Reading Club Pit-Stop Launch Party. We invite families to walk or drive by to pick up their Summer Reading Club Kits and enjoy our I Spy Window display, Storywalk, and Extreme Hopscotch Challenge outside and socially distanced from 10-12 at the Georgetown Branch and 2-4 at the Acton Branch of the Halton Hills Public Library. Students will be able to register at any time after the 19th online or in person.

To participate in the TD Summer Reading Club, students are encouraged to read for 30 minutes a day, every day of the week and will track their reading on the Beanstack platform. Registration on Beanstack can be completed in person or online through hhpl.beanstack.org. Paper copies of the challenge will be available as needed.

For the first three weeks they participate, students will be able to come to the library to collect prizes. For completing subsequent weeks of reading, students will receive ballots for a draw to win a TD bank account worth $25.
