Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. ~ 1 Corinthians 12: 3b-7, 12 ~
During the month of February, our students and staff members will reflect upon and learn how to articulate the Focus on Faith theme of Community and the Common Good, specifically reflecting on the essential question of “Who is the Holy Spirit?”
Our students exemplify this theme and essential question when we learn more about:
- What the Bible tells us about the Holy Spirit
- What is Pentecost
- What is the role of the Holy Spirit
- How the Holy Spirit works in our lives
The Halton Catholic District School Board is rooted in, and envisions education based on the true model of moral character, Jesus Christ. By incorporating gospel values into all of our pursuits, we work for the highest ideal of human character. Christ-centered character formation in our schools is guided and supported by the unifying Catholic themes identified for each grade, and are drawn from the Social Teachings of the Catholic Church.
