Immunization of School Pupils Act

Immunizations protect you and those around you against disease. The Health Department provides a variety of immunization services, including:

  • OneHalton: the Region at your fingertips;
  • NEW – Online immunization record request making it easier than ever to get your immunization records sent to you;
  • Community immunization clinics for routinely recommended vaccines;
  • School-based immunization programs (Hepatitis B, Meningococcal (Menactra®, HPV(PDF file))\
    Influenza (Flu) immunization during the Flu immunization campaign;
  • The collection and review of immunization records for children registered in schools in accordance to the Immunization of School Pupils Act;

The Immunization of School Pupils Act requires parents/guardians of children attending school to report their immunization records to the public health department. Under this act, students with incomplete immunization records are at risk for suspension from school.

  • Downloading the OneHalton app on your mobile device;
  • Calling 311;
  • In person to the Halton Regional Centre – 1151 Bronte Road, Oakville, ON
