Our Chocolate Fundraising event will be ending next week. Thank you to all the families who have sold their box of chocolates, made a donation online, and even asked for a second (or third!) box of chocolates. Your support is sincerely appreciated. A few reminders about our chocolate sales:
- As of Monday, February 25, 2019 no additional boxes will be sent home;
- All families are asked to provide the $90 payment for their box of chocolates via School Cash Online by Thursday, February 28, 2019;
- A reminder that unless you have opted out of selling a box by returning the form provided, you are asked to sell the entire box of chocolates. We are unable to send partially sold boxes back to the supplier;
- If you have opted out of selling a box of chocolates, we do as that you consider making a $40 donation via School Cash Online as this amount is profit that the school makes from each box of chocolates sold – your consideration is appreciated;
A few reminders for next week:
The Health Department is required by the Health Protection and Promotion Act, Section 7 to conduct dental screenings in schools. A registered dental hygienist from the Halton Region Health Department will be at the school on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 to examine the teeth of our JK, SK and grade 2 students. A post-screening notification will be sent home with your child’s screening results. If your child needs urgent dental treatment, important information will be mailed to your home
Term 1 Report Cards for all students K-8 were sent home on Wednesday, February 20, 2019. We encourage you to use them as an opportunity to have conversations with your children about their learning and interests. We are very proud of the many accomplishments of all of our students. Please enjoy celebrating your child’s accomplishments this term and help them plan some new learning goals for Term 2. You are kindly asked to sign the parent response form and return it to the school with the report card envelope;
Our school’s Public Speaking Competition will involved a representative from grade 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 and will take place on Thursday, February 28, 2019 in our Learning Commons beginning at 12:20pm. Parents of the participants are welcome to join us for this event. The winner of this event will represent our school at the North Halton Regional Public Speaking Finals, hosted by St. Francis of Assisi School, on Wednesday, March 20, 2019;
