Weekly Update October 4, 2021

We would like to wish all our St Elizabeth Seton Families a very Happy Thanksgiving.  Thankfulness is important when we are thinking about others.  Being thankful for what we have helps us to recognize the work others do to serve us.  Please keep our community in your thoughts and prayers over this coming Thanksgiving weekend! Just a reminder that there is no school on Monday, October 11 th.

Mrs. Deane and Mrs. Habkirk’s classes will be leading our Thanksgiving liturgy on October 7th at 10:45. As many of you already know, St. Elizabeth Seton lost a beloved staff member in July this year.  Mrs. Carla Puglia-Ribeiro passed away from ALS.  St Elizabeth Seton dedicated a Buddy Bench in memory of Mrs. Puglia-Ribeiro.  We have asked Father Gregory from St Paul the Apostle Parish to come and bless our Buddy Bench in memory of Mrs. Puglia-Ribeiro.  We would like to invite our parent/guardian community to join us for our Thanksgiving Liturgy.

A link will be sent out that morning so you can join us from home.

PD Day on Friday, October 8. Teachers will be engaged in professional development. Students are not in school this day.

Our Thanksgiving food drive will continue until October 6th.  Thank you to those who have donated!  We still have room in our classroom bins.  PLEASE donate non-perishable items if you can.  The Burlington food bank is the recipient of our non-perishable items.

We will be holding our inaugural Catholic School Council Meeting (virtually) on October 6th at 6:30. Positions will be decided, and the results will be posted on our website.
