School Weekly Update June 8, 2020

We have never been made more aware of the fact that we are all One Body in Christ, all of us created in the Image of God, all dependent on one another. Racism and prejudice needs to be stamped out. During this global pandemic, we have come together as a community to support and care for one another as never before. Let it not stop there!

Thank you for your continued patience as we complete week nine of Distance Learning. The HCDSB has completed the Elementary School Curbside Access for Student Belongings Protocol for Parents/Guardians. Details of protocols and family pick up times and information will be emailed separately in school messenger early next week. Please note that pick up dates will be during school hours from Monday, June 22 to Wednesday, June 24.

Community Initiatives– Thank you!

HCCEF 24 HR Fast- Thank you staff and student participants and the generosity of our community. Together we raised $415 for Team Seton! There is still time to donate if you wish:

National AccessAbility Week– Thank you for showing us your support wearing red and showing us how you roll! We loved your photos on Twitter and creating awareness for inclusion in our community!

Seton’s Got Talent– We are still looking for student entries for our end of the year talent show! Talent can include skills like hockey, Martial Arts, skateboarding, music, dance, poetry, etc. For more details: St. Elizabeth Seton Talent Show June 2020!

This week we challenge students to answer this statement: “Covid Can’t Stop Me from….” Students please share your answers with your teachers and help us create out Covid Time Capsule memory book for our LLC!

Burlington Parks & Recreation

Are you looking for fun activities to do at home with the kids? Burlington Parks & Rec have over 100 missions for your kids to complete! Try a board game! It’s one of many activities in the 30/60 Home Play Challenge.
