Mother’s Day

Sunday, May 10th, is Mother’s Day. We honour and celebrate all of our mothers – including our grandmothers, godmothers, new mothers, mothers-to-be, step-mothers, foster mothers, adoptive mothers and all those who care for us in motherly ways. We also pray for all mothers who have entered the heavenly kingdom.

CEW Chalk the Walks~ Igniting Hope in the Seton Community

We would like to thank our community and staff for engaging in activities that supported our theme of Igniting Hope during Catholic Education Week. The pictures and artwork you shared for the Chalk the Walks art challenge helped to demonstrate the wonderful work our Catholic Schools are doing!

HCDSB Staff Appreciation Day – Friday, May 8, 2020

In this time of distance learning, never has it been more important to recognize the wonderful work of the staff at St. Seton CES.  We are fortunate every day to have a staff that goes out of their way to make sure every child that walks through our door, both real and virtual, feels welcomed, feels safe, feels loved.  THANK YOU for being AMAZING. Thank you, staff, for making a difference every day! We are truly blessed at St. Elizabeth Seton CES!

Student Award of Excellence 2020

The Student Award of Excellence is a HCDSB award that is presented annually to students across our system who demonstrates outstanding qualities in the areas of leadership, faith development, family commitment, rapport with teachers and other students, involvement in school affairs, and community activities. Although, we are not able to celebrate this achievement in person this year, we are very proud to share that Marco, a Grade 8 student, has been selected as our school’s recipient of this award. Congratulations Marco!

St. Elizabeth Seton Yearbook~ Don’t Miss out!

Despite the current situation we find ourselves in, we have enjoyed so many wonderful memories at St. Elizabeth Seton this year. Our Yearbook Committee, headed by Mrs. Bisbee & Mrs. Ryan-Titus, have been working to provide a school yearbook for our students and school community.

Congratulations to Lana in Grade 8 for winning the Yearbook Cover contest. Her beautiful artwork will be on the cover of the Yearbook this year!  Don’t miss out- it is available on cash online until May 22. Thank you for your support of this initiative!

New to Kindergarten

Online registrations for Kindergarten are still being accepted even though the school is closed. Parents and guardians interested in registering can follow the process through the school website here:

May is Hearing Awareness Month which is an entire month dedicated to educating the public about the importance of hearing health. HCDSB is dedicating this week to promote Hearing Awareness among our students and school community.

On Friday, May 15th, we will have DRESS LOUD DAY. Students and their families are encouraged to have fun and dress in their wackiest loudest clothing. Please post your pictures on your virtual classrooms and/or tweet them out using the hashtags #Dressloud2020.
