Lenten Food Drive

Our Lenten Food drive is underway.  Please have your children bring all non-perishable goods to their classrooms. We are looking for soup, pasta, and cereal bars in particular over the next few weeks to support the needs at the Good Shepherd Centre. Thank you to Mrs. Moyer and the grade 3 students for leading and our community for supporting this Lenten initiative.

Spring Fundraiser

We are getting close to our goal of $4000 in sales for the Purdy Chocolate Fundraiser! You might consider ordering and sharing this with friends and family: https://fundraising.purdys.com/. All orders are due by March 12. Thank you, everyone, for your participation with this fundraiser as the profits will help a family in our school community. The chocolate will be delivered to the school on April 1st in advance of Easter.

HCDSB Pilgrimage Cross

On Wednesday, March 11 the Board’s Pilgrimage Cross will be arriving at our school. This cross is a symbol for our Board’s 50th Anniversary, recognizing the commitment made in Catholic Education over the years. Our Student Ambassador crew will be receiving this cross on behalf of our school community and will be engaging in some prayers to welcome the cross to St. Elizabeth School. Classes will be invited to spend some individual time to visit the cross and pray as a classroom community during its stay until March 25, before it travels to Corpus Christi HS. Down Syndrome Awareness ~ Funky Socks Day

Following March Break, on Monday, March 23, we will be celebrating “Funky Sock Day” at St. Elizabeth Seton. Students are invited to wear full civvies along with their wackiest socks in honour of World Down Syndrome Day which takes place on March 21. World Down Syndrome Day is celebrated that day because it is the 21st day of the 3rd month which symbolizes the uniqueness of the triplication of the 21st chromosome which leads to Down Syndrome.
