We have had a wonderful start-up after the Christmas break. The students came back ready to learn and well prepared to enjoy outdoor play with all their winter gear. We held our Grade 1- 8 Code of Conduct assemblies on Tuesday, January 7th to review with the students the routines and expectations for St. Elizabeth Seton School so that everyone feels safe and included. Please discuss with your child about the positive messages that were shared.

Promoting Well-Being – Nutrition: How a balanced diet and healthy eating habits can help your child’s mental health

Find out which nutrients and routines can help with your child’s mental wellbeing.

  • Your child should eat daily recommended servings of a variety of whole foods when possible.
  • Prepare meals together. Kids can take on different roles as they get older. It’s a great way to teach them about where food comes from and valuable cooking skills.
  • Eat together as a family when you can. Eating as a family can help increase self-esteem and connectedness.
  • Role model positive body image attitudes and behaviours around healthy eating and living.
  • Please see your doctor if you have concerns about your child’s behaviours and attitudes around eating and body image. ~By Sick Kids staff
