To you is born this day in David’s city a Savior, who is Christ, the Lord – Luke 2:11
Celebrating Advent as a Family
The Third Sunday of Advent is called Gaudete (Rejoice) Sunday. On this day we celebrate that our waiting for the birth of Jesus on Christmas day is almost over. Rose is a liturgical color that is used to signify Joy, so we light the single pink candle on the third Sunday of Advent. This candle is also known as the “Shepherd’s Candle” reminding us of the Joy the world experienced at the coming birth of Jesus. Thank you to all of our parents and guests for coming to watch our Christmas Musical, Back to the Manger. Our staff and students worked hard over the last few weeks to put on such a fabulous show. We hope we will all continue to remember the important message, Keep Christ in Christmas!
Thank you to our parents and community for their generosity during the Advent Season! We were able to fill many bins for the Burlington Food Bank this past week. The last day to donate is Monday, December 16. Your kindness in giving is what this season is all about!
