Parish News

We are excited to have our St. Elizabeth Seton school community co-host the “Coffee Sunday” with the Knights of Columbus following mass at St. Paul the Apostle Church after both the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. mass this Sunday. We look forward to celebrating Mass with you and sharing fellowship in the church hall following mass.

Halloween Danceathon

Our Halloween Danceathon forms will be sent home with students this week. Information on the prizes and pledge forms can be found on the form. This is our major fundraiser of the year, and we truly appreciate your generosity so we can continue to provide enriching learning experiences for our students. Pledges and donations can be made on School Cash Online. We appreciate all the parent volunteers that have offered to assist with this school initiative.

Junior and Senior Cross-Country Team

Please note that the cross country meet that was originally scheduled for October 8th has been canceled and will be rescheduled for April 21-23, 2020. More information will be forthcoming once we know the specific date of the Burlington meet. Thank you for your understanding.

Emergency Drills

We will continue to practice our emergency drills this week with a bomb threat with lockdown protocol planned for Wednesday a.m. The Fire Department will return for a Fire Drill following the Thanksgiving weekend.

PA Day & Thanksgiving Day

Friday, October 11, 2019, is a PD Day.  Our staff will be off-site celebrating Faith Day together. Therefore, there is no school for students. We would also like to remind our parents that next Monday, October 14th, is the Thanksgiving Holiday. We wish all our families a blessed Thanksgiving.

Appropriate Outdoor Wear

With the fall weather upon us and our windy playground, please remember that it is that time of year when our weather changes drastically throughout the day. Layering is a great solution for our students to ensure that they have the proper wear. We appreciate students have a pair of indoor shoes to help keep our classrooms comfortable for learning.

The Halton Food For Thought GREAT BIG CRUNCH initiative is a MONTH-LONG FOCUS on healthy and local eating with the culminating in one amazing GREAT BIG CRUNCH on Thursday, October 24th.

St. Elizabeth Seton is participating this year and supporting the goal to engage 70,000 students from 100 participating schools across Halton! The apples are donated to us from a local farm for students to enjoy as a healthy snack. We are excited and grateful to HFFT for sponsoring our healthy snack program and supporting our healthy eating focus with our students. Thank you, parents, for taking time to work with your child(ren) to plan healthy snacks and lunches for school.
