We welcome all our returning and new families to St. Elizabeth Seton! We are really looking forward to meeting all of our students on Tuesday, September 3rd. Our office opens on Monday, August 26th at 8:30 am.

Staff Update

We are very excited to welcome so many new staff to our school this year! Please welcome the following new and returning staff to our community: Mr. Iacoboni- Sert, Ms. Foderaro-Kindergarten, Ms. Butler-DECE, Ms. Dametto- Gr. 1/2, Ms. Nasato-PTM, Ms. Mora-Fischman-FSL, Ms. Varas-FSL, Ms. Bodden-EA, Ms. Horoky-Cooper-EA, Mr. Knight-pm Custodian, and welcome back to Ms.Di Blasio-Gr. 4 and Ms. Arthur-CYC.

First Day of School Grades 1-8

The first day of school is Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019 for students in Grades 1 – 8. Students can arrive at school between 8:25 and 8:40. Students can proceed to the playground, where their teachers will be waiting to greet them there. For this first day only, parents are welcome on the playground. Please ensure our teachers know your plan for dismissal on the first day (walking, bus, YMCA). In the event of bad weather, students will gather in the gymnasium to find their teachers and line up.

Kindergarten Entry

The first day of school for SK students will be Thursday, September 5. The staggered entry schedule for Kindergarten is as follows:

  • Tuesday, September 3rd- Parent/Student interviews for Year 1 students and Year 2 students who are new to the school
  • Wednesday, September 4th- Parent/Student interviews for Year 1 students and Year 2 students who are new to the school
  • Thursday, September 5th - Staggered entry for the first half of Year 1 students; Full entry for all Year 2 students
  • Friday, September 6th- Staggered entry for the second half of the Year 1 students (first half do not attend); Full entry for all Year 2 students
  • Monday, September 9th - Full entry for all Year 1 and Year 2 students

Class Placements

Beginning Friday, August 30th, 2019, you will be able to access information about your child(ren)’s class placement. This information will be available on the Board’s website at On the Home page, please click on the “Schools” tab and then on the “School Listing” tab in the drop-down menu.  You will be directed to the school listing page. Once you have arrived on this page, please click on “Class Placements”, beside the appropriate Elementary school name.

PLEASE NOTE: In order to access this information, you will require your child’s Ontario Education Number (OEN), which can be found on his/her report card.

Please know that with new registrations and students leaving our school throughout the upcoming weeks, class placements can continue to change and all placements are tentative.

Medical Concerns

Medical information forms were provided to families in June so that individual student information and medical plans can be updated for the start of the school year. Please drop off updated medical packages and medication to Mrs. Biso at the office throughout the week of August 26th. If your child has recently been diagnosed with a medical condition or life-threatening allergy, please inform the office immediately and arrange to speak with Mrs. Williams.


Transportation information for bus students will be available at www.haltonbus.caTo access this information, you will need your child’s Ontario Education Number (OEN). If you wish to register for Courtesy Seating, you can do so online.
