Play Day – June 24
Monday, June 24 will be our Gr. 1-8 Play Day (weather permitting) and it is a civvies day so students should be wearing comfortable clothing to be active in. Please ensure students are properly dressed for activities outside including running shoes, hats, and sunscreen! The rain date is Tuesday, June 25.
Term Two Report Cards – June 25
Report Cards for Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8 students will be sent home on Tuesday, June 25, 2019. Please sign and return the bottom portion to school by Thursday, June 27. This form is a legal document which must be attached to the copy of the report and included in your child’s Ontario School Record file. Please note this is an opportunity for you and your child to comment on goals, student achievement, and home support.
Talent Show – June 27
St. Elizabeth has talent! Our students are excited to share their talents with the school community by partaking in the Talent Show at 1:15 pm in our gymnasium on Thursday, June 27. Parents are welcome to attend
Lost and Found
Lost and Found items will be on display from June 24 to June 27. If your child is missing personal items, please encourage them to look through the items on display. Any items not claimed by June 28 will be donated to charity.
The last day of school will be Friday, June 28, 2019. We will be having early dismissal on that date. We will be dismissing at 1:40 pm (90 min earlier). Buses will also be arriving to pick up children at that time and should be dropping them off 90 min earlier than normally scheduled. Please make sure you have made arrangements so that your child will not be left at school after 1:40 pm.
Medical Conditions – Parent/Guardian Packages:
If your child has a serious medical condition, please review the information package he/she brought home. If we currently hold medication for your child, please note that it must be picked up by dismissal (1:40 p.m.) on Friday, June 28, 2019. We do not store medications over the summer.
Medication or any other medical apparatus (i.e. AeroChamber ®, EpiPen ®),
which is not picked up will be sent home with your child at dismissal.
For safety reasons, please immediately inspect your child’s backpack for medications upon arrival at home.
- Health care forms for the 2019-2020 school year were already sent home. Please complete the forms. The forms MUST be completed and returned to the school during the week of August 26, 2019, prior to the first day of school.
- Accompanying these completed forms, please provide:
– Updated medication for the 2019-2020 school year in a Ziploc® bag that is clearly labeled with your child’s name.
– For PRESCRIBED medications, complete MEDS.1-P form (Request and Consent for the Administration of Prescribed Medication) PRIOR to your child’s first day in September 2019.
Please understand that at the beginning of the school year, parents assume complete responsibility for the administration of the medications their children require until such time as all of the requirements of #2 above are satisfied in full.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation regarding the safe provision of medication and the information pertaining to your child. Their safety, and the safety of all other students, is our first priority.

We would like to thank all our parents and students for a wonderful year at St. Elizabeth School. We wish you a relaxing and restful summer break. Take time to spend with your families and rejuvenate, and we look forward to seeing you in the new school year. Our office will open the week of August 26-30. The first day of school for students is Tuesday, September 3.
SEPTEMBER 2019 OPENING PROCEDURES: Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019 – Back to School!
Parents are asked to review the procedures for looking up their child’s class placement for September. Please Note: All elementary student class placements will become live on Friday, August 30, 2019. Parents will need your child’s OEN number which is found at the top of their report card. Follow these steps to access this information:
- Click on school tab-school listing
- Click on Elementary school placement
- Enter OEN, click search
- Your child’s name, school year and placement will be displayed
Grade 1-8 FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
Grade 1-8 students and parents proceed to the pavement area (between 8:25-8:40 am) where they will meet their teachers and placements will be confirmed. Please note, all lists are tentative until after the first couple of weeks of school as numbers can change.
Kindergarten students will have a staggered entry and DO NOT begin on the First Day of school as the Teachers and ECE’s will be taking part in interviews. More info to follow.
