Weekly Update – September 21st – 25th

Monitoring Your Children/Our Students Each Day:
Monitoring our students at home each day and at school is essential for ensuring that our school remains safe for all members. On Thursday, September 17, 2020, the Ontario government released to school boards an online screening tool available for families, school staff and essential visitors to meet their obligation to screen themselves or their children for symptoms of illness each day before going to school. School boards and local health units have been asked to align the criteria in their screening tools with this new screening tool for schools.
All parents are asked to complete the updated daily screening tool each day prior to leaving for school. Upon completion of the screening questions, it will inform you whether your child should go to school or remain at home. In the event your child is sent home with COVID-19 symptoms, we will refer the following document: Return to School Protocol for Students with COVID-19 Symptoms, to confirm when your child(ren) may return to school. Thank you – we appreciate your continued support if and when we need to contact you if your children are ill.
Important Forms To Be Submitted:
We kindly ask that the following forms, which were sent home with our youngest or only children on Friday, are submitted on or before Friday, September 25th.

1.) Curricular Physical Education Consent to Participate (forms should be completed for each child, submitted to each child’s teacher)
2.)  Family Information and Consent form is one form per family.  Please make sure you list all of your children on that form and all areas are completed carefully.  It can be returned to your youngest child’s teacher.
3.)  Student Registration Verification form.  Please confirm that we have the correct address, phone numbers and email addresses (parish or bus information not needed).  Please check your emergency contact information to make ensure there is someone other than parents listed to pick up your child in the event of illness or injury. In the event you cannot be reached, we will contact these individuals. If there are no changes, please sign the back and return the form.
Thank you very much for helping us to update our records in a timely manner. If you have any other questions regarding information for your children/family, please do not hesitate to contact us at the school.
