Halloween Dance-a-thon – Friday Oct 29th

St. Christopher is a wonderful place to learn and grow.  Teachers, administrators, and support staff work together to ensure the needs of each child are being met, with the goal of preparing students for a lifetime of personal fulfillment and contribution to society.  To aid in fulfilling this goal, we rely on our single major fundraiser (our annual Halloween Dance-a-thon), where 100% of your donation goes directly to programs and tools for your child.  In previous years, your generous donations have allowed the school to fund many school initiatives across all grade levels, including Chromebooks, laptops, iPads and other technology.

St. Christopher’s will be having our annual Halloween Dance-a-thon on Friday, October 29, 2021. This promises to be a fun-filled day for all the students, and they are encouraged to wear their costumes on this day. Students are asked to collect pledges from family members and friends. We are encouraging students to try to raise a minimum of $25.

The method of payment will be cashless through our donation link on our school website https://hcdsb.schoolcashonline.com/Fee/Details/269/6/false/true . The donation link allows you to donate any dollar amount, and it does not require you to create a School Cash account. Anyone can use it – you just need to select the school from the drop-down menu list (St. Christopher), select an amount, and under message include the students name. This allows anyone, friends, family, or neighbours to donate and they receive a tax receipt by email immediately after the transaction closes using the email address provided.

As we’d like to have a few prizes for the students, we are looking for donations for the incentive prizes.  Donations may be brought to the school by your child, and their classroom teacher will be collecting them.  The theme for the prizes for students in grades K-3 is outdoor activities (chalk, bubbles, snow fort tools and toys), crafts (any kind of set), board games and Lego/building sets.  For grades 4-8 we are looking for gift cards (Toys R Us, Mastermind, Dollarama, Michael’s, McDonalds, Starbucks, Dairy Queen, Kernels Popcorn, Cineplex, Sport Chek, EB Games etc.).  We would appreciate all donated prizes to be brought into the school by Friday Oct 22, 2021. The donated prizes will be evenly distributed between the classes in our school.

We are looking forward to bringing back this wonderful event.  This event could not be a success without all your help and support.
