On Friday, March 20th, the Ministry of Education released the first phase of the Learn at Home resources to support student learning during this school closure due to COVID-19. OECTA Reaches Tentative Collective Agreement

We have received notice that the Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association (OECTA), the Ontario Catholic School Trustees’ Association (OCSTA) and the Government of Ontario reached a tentative collective agreement. As OECTA represents all elementary and secondary teachers in the Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB), this means that all job action (withdrawal of services) has been suspended. All Schools Will be CLOSED from March 14 to April 5, 2020

This afternoon, the Minister of Education issued a Ministerial Order to close all publicly-funded schools in Ontario for two weeks following March Break. This decision was made due to the emergence of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) across Ontario.
