St Brigid Weekly Update – Week of October 13, 2020

Dear Parents,

Thank you to our staff and students for another great week at St. Brigid School!

Your continued support is appreciated during drop-off and pick-up using the Kiss n’ Ride area.  Please ensure you stay in your vehicle when using Kiss n’ Ride to ensure safety for all.  As well, wearing a mask during drop-off and pick-up when socially distancing is not possible is greatly appreciated in order to keep all our students and staff safe and healthy

A friendly reminder that we are an ‘idle-free’ zone at St. Brigid.  Please be aware when dropping off/picking up your children we ask that you turn off your vehicle while waiting.  We appreciate your support with keeping our air clean!

Thank you for ensuring the safety of all students, parents and visitors to St. Brigid School by keeping dogs off school property.

Please continue to keep screening your children for COVID-19 each day using the updated guidelines in the link below:

COVID-19 Screening Tool for Children
As always, the health and safety of our students, staff and families is our highest priority, and we will continue to take direction from the Ministry of Education and Halton Region Public Health to ensure all protocols are in place and followed in each of our schools.

A friendly reminder to families to send back the consent and verification form package sent home.

We continued with our fire drills this week with all classes.  Due to health and safety protocols, the drill was performed in smaller groups to ensure social distancing.  All fire drills for the fall term are now complete.  Students and staff took all safety precautions and did a great job!

As communicated this week, we will continue with our annual St. Brigid fundraiser. We are soliciting prize donations until next Thursday October 22, 2020.  Although we are not able to do our traditional Dance-a-thon we have plenty of fun planned for our students.
