School Update – May 29, 2020

Dear Families,

We hope this email finds you and your family healthy and safe.  What a great week of virtual learning at St. Brigid School!  We enjoyed popping into virtual classrooms this week to take part in the live learning and chats happening.  It was so nice to see so many of your smiling faces!  Teachers will continue to offer participation in synchronous learning for the remainder of the school year and are adding in new ideas each week.  Stay tuned for some virtual dance classes in June!

Thank you to those who participated in our virtual spirit day today, celebrating with Colour Day!  The funds collected through out Spirt days go towards assisting HCCEF (Halton Catholic Children’s Education Foundation), Holy Cross HELPS and our Holy Cross Parish.  The HCCEF alone has increased its support by 370% for families and 710% for students compared to this time last year.  If your family is able to support any of these organizations, you can do so through our School Cash Online.  Please be sure to share your bright colours through the distance learning platforms and our St. Brigid Twitter – @StBrigidHCDSB

We are currently working on plans to recognize our graduating class of 2020.  Thank you to our Grade 8 parents and students for sharing their feedback.  We will be communicating the virtual graduation plans soon.

As we enter into the month of June, further information will be coming from HCDSB in respect to the report card and school access.
