This past week we celebrated our Feast of St. Brigid liturgy led by the Grade 4 classes.
St. Brigid School is hosting its fifth annual Valentine’s Sock Drive in February. Please consider donating new socks of any style, size, or colour for boys, girls, women and men. Mrs. Rutherford’s class will be collecting donations at school starting Monday, February 3rd until Tuesday, February 18th. All donations will go to the Good Shepherd. Thank you in advance for your continued support and cooperation.
Thank you to our Eco Bears for encouraging participation in National Sweater Day and Winter Walk Day this past week. We are proud of our students and staff working towards helping our environment.
Congratulations to our Grade 7 students who will receive their Confirmation on Saturday. May God bless you as He leads you to new opportunities in the years ahead; Opportunities for growth, for learning, and for discovering His plan for your life.
A reminder during drop off and pick up in our Kiss n’ Ride area that stopping and leaving vehicles is not permitted at any time. During these snowy, winter conditions, it’s important to be extra attentive while moving through this area as visibility can be lower. Thank you for your support to keep our students and families safe!
Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities launched a program in 2005 designed to provide children from families with low income the opportunity to participate in sports and recreational activities offered int eh community. Participation in sports and recreation can help children develop essential life skills, self-esteem and confidence. Children who are physically active have improved school performance and future education expectations, as well as get the opportunity to learn important leadership skills and develop more positive relationships. If your family could benefit from this program, please contact our administration team at St. Brigid. For more information please visit, www.hhis.ca
Our school, along with many others in the board, have signed up for the first ever I Read Canadian Day on February 19th, 2020! On this day, it is our goal to read 15 min of any novel by a Canadian author. There is a display in the library with many different titles to choose from. Students are encouraged to read with their family and friends either here at school or at home.
