November 12 – See the Problem, Be the Solution:
During Bullying Awareness and Prevention week, the HCDSB Student Senate will host the annual Bullying Prevention Launch – “See the Problem, Be the Solution” on Tuesday November 12 at Holy Trinity CSS. The purpose of the campaign is to promote equity and inclusion and put an end to bullying as a Catholic community. Thank you to Mrs. Pullman and our three student representatives for representing St. Bernadette.
November 18-22 Bully Awareness Week: During the week of November 18 – 22, Halton Catholic schools join school boards across Ontario to recognize Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week (Ontario Ministry of Education Link) each year, to develop awareness and understanding of the factors that contribute to a safe, inclusive, caring and accepting school climate. Building a positive and inclusive school climate is a necessary condition for student success. Thank you to Mrs. Pullman and her Peace and Justice Leaders to be saying morning announcements around this important issue.
November 21, 22 – Parent-Teacher Interviews:
“We know that parents have an important role to play in supporting student learning. Studies show that students perform better in school if their parents or guardians are involved in their education. This is the basis for the principle that students and parents should be kept fully informed about the student’s progress.” ~ Growing Success, page 8.
We will be holding Parent-Teacher Interviews at the school on Thursday, November 21st from 4:00 – 8:30 pm and Friday, November 22nd from 9:00 am – 2:30 pm. This term, you will be able to schedule your Parent-Teacher Interviews online. You will be able to make appointments form November 4th at 8:00 am until November 18th at 11:00 pm.
