WELCOME Mrs. Warmels

During this third week of Advent, it gives us great JOY that Mrs. Warmels has joined our St. Benedict family as our new Vice Principal. As a retired principal, we are excited to learn and grow with her expertise and knowledge. We look forward to getting to know her and all the new experiences we will have together in the New Year. We send her lots of prayers and blessings, as she starts her new journey with us this week.

Please visit St. Benedict Parish website regularly for updates.

Voluntary Rapid Antigen Test Kits for In-Person Learners

During the week of Monday, December 13th to Friday, December 17th our school will be distributing Rapid Antigen Screening Kits for voluntary use over the Christmas holiday.

The rapid antigen screening kits have been provided by the Government of Ontario for every student who attends in-person learning at a publicly funded school.  These kits may be used by any student, regardless of their vaccination status, however, should only be used when a child is asymptomatic (does not have any symptoms of COVID-19) and has not had any exposure to a confirmed case of COVID-19.

Please note that participation in this student rapid antigen screening is voluntary and is not a required action for return to school after the Christmas break.

We are grateful for the ongoing support of students, families and staff as we work closely with the Ministry of Education and Halton Public Health to help keep our school community safe and healthy for all.

Thank you to all the families who have sent in Gift Cards for our Angel Tree. We have extended our collection to the last day of school-Dec. 17th. When students bring in gift cards, they have an opportunity to add an Angel to our Christmas Tree. Our Tree is starting to look ‘heavenly’, thanks to you. If you haven’t sent a card in yet, there is still time! Together, we will spread Christmas Joy this advent season.

Visit our School Cash ONLINE, to make a donation to participate in our Christmas Spirit Week. All donations will go the Halton Catholic Children’s Foundation. We are looking forward to bringing Christmas Cheer to our hallways this week.
